Whether it’s industry conventions that keep us at the forefront of the healthcare sector, conferences we attend with our clients, or career fairs where we connect with emerging healthcare talent – we value our busy schedule of events. Here’s a round-up of our recent diary highlights:

Health Management Institute of Ireland (HMI) Conference

In October, TTM Sales Manager Dylan Broderick and Recruitment Operations Manager Niamh Burke attended the annual Health Management Institute of Ireland (HMI) Conference in Dublin. Themed ‘Positively Leading Through Complex Change in Health and Social Care’ the Conference focused on the many recent changes to our public health services and new challenges ahead.

There was an impressive line-up of expert speakers from the public, private and community sectors of healthcare who shared their experience and lessons from their recent projects and research. For healthcare managers it was a chance to explore important new ways to deliver care and improve service delivery. For us at TTM, the Conference underscored our commitment to continuous improvement: by never standing still we can continue to provide our clients with forward-thinking services and support them through change.

Private Hospitals Association (PHA) Annual Conference

We were thrilled to attend the Private Hospitals Association (PHA) Annual Conference on November 14th at Barberstown Castle, Straffan, County Kildare. The event, themed 'Empowering Healthcare Professionals: Enhancing Skills, Wellbeing and Excellence in Private Hospitals,' featured insightful discussions led by industry leaders. This conference was a valuable opportunity for us to deepen our understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the private healthcare sector, and to connect with our clients face to face, strengthening our relationships and gaining direct insights into their needs and expectations. It reinforced our commitment to investing in the wellbeing and careers of our talent, ensuring that our clients benefit from dedicated, high-quality healthcare professionals.

Growing our Knowledge at Industry Events

In early November Louise Byrne and Deirdre Kenny from our Social Care Perm team attended the Social Care Ireland - Annual Disability Special Interest Group Conference. The Disability SIG’s purpose is to advocate for the professionalisation of Social Care in Disability Services and to encourage, promote, facilitate and support the advancement of the discipline within the Disability sector. For TTM the conference provided a valuable way to keep our finger on the pulse of the Social Care sector – its challenges, opportunities and goals.

Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) Annual Conference

Later in the month, Sarah Byrne and Chloe Cagney from our team attended the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) Annual Conference in Athlone – always an important event to update us on new developments and current research in the field.

As the professional body for psychology, the PSI conference is a pivotal event for connecting with psychologists in Ireland. The event introduced delegates to the knowledge and learnings of psychology professionals and shared current quality research on psychology and health. Those attending, participated in insightful workshops and enjoyed a wealth of presentations and seminars on a range of topics.

Supporting Tomorrow’s Talent at Career Fairs

Over the last few months, members of TTM’s talent acquisition team attended several Career Fairs. Connecting with and supporting up-and-coming healthcare professionals is always important to us, so it was great to attend the special days in Kerry at Munster Technological University, as well as in the Midlands and Midwest at the Technological University of the Shannon. We met so many of the ‘talent of tomorrow’ who were able to find out about job opportunities, grow their knowledge of different disciplines, and learn about available career pathways. Most of all, it was excellent to see them excited about and inspired by their future in healthcare. We wish all who attended every success in their chosen field.
