NMBI registration
Nurses and midwives who practise in Ireland must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

To practise nursing or midwifery in Ireland, you will need to go through a two-part process, Recognition, and then Registration. You may view all requirements on this process at this link.
Please note: If you are already on the NMBI Register and you would like to apply for registration in another division, you may need to go through the qualification’s recognition and registration processes again.
If you submit your second application for qualifications recognition within seven days of the first one, you will be exempt from paying the qualifications recognition fee the second time.
