The Role

The Instructor will work as part of a team a day service setting. The Instructor will work with management, staff and families to ensure the highest level of person-centred planning and service quality for each individual that they support. All aspects of service delivery will reflect the principles of person-centeredness and active community participation. The overall aim of day services provision in the Liffey region is to provide support to individuals and empower them to do ordinary things in ordinary places in line with their individual goals in life.

Locations

  • Dublin South West - Tallaght, Clondalkin & Palmerstown

  • Kildare - Celbridge & Maynooth

Requirements

  • QQI/FETAC Level 6 & above qualification in Social Care, Education, Training or equivalent.

  • Full clean driving licence is required and a willingness to drive as part of role.

    • Experience in Intellectual Disabilities services, 6-12 months, is desirable.

  • An ability to Key-work people with an intellectual disability and support them in meaningful social roles and active citizenship.

  • Awareness and understanding of alternative communication aids and assistive technology.

  • Proficiency in ICT and report writing/administration skills.
