Originally from Tipperary, Clíona started her third level studies at University College Cork where she completed a Bachelor of Commerce. Knowing that her future lay in personnel and human resources, she later completed a Diploma in Personnel Management at the University of Limerick. Clíona began her working life as a sales representative – working in a busy call centre promoting PCs and laptops to French customers, before taking up her first position as a recruitment consultant in Limerick. Quick to learn and progressing rapidly, Clíona then became a Recruitment and HR specialist for a software house, where she focused on the recruitment of IT staff, and later assuming a broader HR remit.

Clíona went on to develop her strategic ability, as Workforce Planning Manager at the University of Salford, Manchester – where she designed and delivered an effective workforce plan for the university. Clíona made the move into the world of healthcare as Sales and Marketing Manager at TOG Orthotics International – where she handled sales of diagnostic equipment and prescription orthotics to allied health professionals, private hospitals and consultants. She realised she had found a sector of the market which she truly enjoyed, and a move to TTM Healthcare Solutions as a Recruitment Consultant, was a natural next step.
